Part Time Research Assistant (Project Manager) in the Centre for Information Technology in Education within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 526498)
To commence as soon as possible for 8 months with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in Education, Social Science, Computer Science or other relevant fields with substantial years of experience in working with school/community-related projects. They should have good interpersonal and communication skills to be capable of communicating with schools and other stakeholders to coordinate the implementation of the project. A person who holds Hong Kong teacher qualification (e.g. a local Teacher's Certificate or Post-graduate Diploma/Certificate in Education) and has experience in learning design and curriculum development is a definite advantage. They should have proficiency in spoken Chinese (preferably in Cantonese) and English, and written English and Chinese, excellent communication skills, good IT skills, and experience in qualitative and/or quantitative research. Familiarity with the local education environment and curriculum design is highly desirable. Preference will be given to those who have familiarities with the local education system and experiences in the development of e-learning with computer mediated reality (e.g., augmented reality, and virtual reality), project coordination, and event organization such as seminars and conferences. Fluency in Cantonese would be a definite advantage.

The appointee will oversee the progress of participating schools and ensure teachers and students are effectively engaged in the project. As the primary point of contact for assigned schools, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing various aspects of the project, such as coordination among participating schools about the development of lesson plans, learning activities and tasks with computer mediated reality, implementation of project in various participating schools, progress reporting, and coordination with evaluations. Additionally, he/she may be assigned other tasks as needed.
