Senior Data Manager, MSc Programmes (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 526523) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a strong bachelor’s degree, with around 6 years’ of work experience in Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline with excellent quantitative skills, as well as at least 2 years’ of experience in a managerial/leadership role.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); effective coordination, communication and interpersonal skills; and the ability to multitask under pressure and work independently as well as in a team.  They should also be detail-oriented and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.  Proficiency in analytics tools such as Python, SQL, Tableau/Power BI is required; knowledge and experience in generative AI would be an advantage. Experience in project management and in the higher education sector would be a plus. 

The appointee will provide research support to the Faculty’s Masters Programmes Office in the areas related to admissions, students’ academic performance and career-related services.  He/She will manage and mentor a team of data analysts, develop and implement data analytics strategies to support the decision-making processes of the Faculty’s Masters programmes, collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for data-driven improvements and efficiencies, and perform any other duties as assigned.  He/She will work at the Faculty’s Cyberport campus.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
