Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 526532), to commence as soon as possible for three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or a related discipline which meets the criteria as set out in the guidelines of the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) (https://www.itf.gov.hk/en/funding-programmes/nurturing-talent/research-talent-hub/research-talent-hub-for-itf-projects-rth-itf-/index.html). Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Knowledge of and experience in antibacterial nano-biomaterials / biodegradable materials would be advantageous. The appointee will conduct a basic science and translational research related to antibacterial / biodegradable materials; supervise and mentor junior research staff; and publish scientific articles.
