Research Assistant I in Bioinformatics Core of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) (Ref.: 526650) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) is an academic research-support centre embracing multi-omics and big data biomedical research under the LKS Faculty of Medicine. The Role

  • Manage, explore and perform mining of data to address important biological questions
  • Analyze genomics or proteomics datasets
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with scientists and provide expert informatics solutions

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biological Sciences or related disciplines
  • Fresh graduates are welcome
  • Ability to use programming languages such as R, Python, or related languages
  • Experience in analyzing genomics or proteomics datasets (advantageous)
  • Good communication skills
  • Proactive and enjoy teamwork
  • Willing to meet new challenges
