Clerk II (holding the functional title of Assistant Academic Programme Officer) in the Department of Real Estate and Construction (Ref.: 526669) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal) 

Applicants should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree; or 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics; and with at least 1 year’s work experience.   A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese is essential, and fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage.  They should have strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills; an appropriate level of IT skills.  They should also be able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines; be a good team player, be able to multi-task and attentive to details.  Fresh graduates will also be considered.

The appointee will provide support to a wide range of administrative matters, assisting in personnel and financial management of the Department, as well as providing general administrative support to the Research team and in departmental events, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department and his delegate.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
