Senior Research Assistant

Senior Research Assistant position in the Department of Surgery to work on congenital disorders affecting newborns is open for application to commence as soon as possible for two to three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a B.Sc degree in Biological/Medical Sciences or a related discipline with at least three years working experience in research laboratory.  Those with experience in induced pluripotent stem cell culture/generation, gene-targeting in stem cells, immunohistochemistry and confocal imaging, handling and processing of patients’ blood or tissues, advanced molecular techniques are preferred.  The appointee will participate in disease model and genetic research projects and laboratory maintenance.  Enquiries should be sent to Shirley Tsui at slmtsui@hku.hk.
