Duties and Responsibilities
- manage and analyze large clinical biobank datasets
- assist in coordinating clinical studies and trials
- perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Biostatistics, Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience (preferably in clinical research, epidemiological data analysis of large datasets using R and/or STATA, and genetic/molecular epidemiology including Mendelian Randomization)
- strong quantitative background
- good communication and data visualization skills
- ability to acquire new biostatistical techniques by self-learning
- demonstrated abstract concepts in an accessible way to all organizational levels
- self-motivated; attentive to details; scientifically mature and able to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
- those with lower qualifications or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I/II.
What We Offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis or 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
