Duties and Responsibilities

  • manage and analyze large clinical biobank datasets
  • assist in coordinating clinical studies and trials
  • perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Biostatistics, Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience (preferably in clinical research, epidemiological data analysis of large datasets using R and/or STATA, and genetic/molecular epidemiology including Mendelian Randomization)
  • strong quantitative background
  • good communication and data visualization skills
  • ability to acquire new biostatistical techniques by self-learning
  • demonstrated abstract concepts in an accessible way to all organizational levels
  • self-motivated; attentive to details; scientifically mature and able to work independently and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • those with lower qualifications or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I/II.

 

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis or 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
