Project Officer (at the rank of Clerk II) / Clerical Assistant in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 530603) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C in Syllabus A / Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics; OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience, OR a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ work experience.
The appointee is expected to be mature, persuasive, personable, open-minded and well-spoken. He/She should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, excellent communication skills and proficient in MS Office, and the ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Those with less experience or lower qualifications may be appointed as Clerical Assistant.
The appointee will be responsible to perform frontline duties and a wide range of logistical and clerical support for events and academic-related activities. He/she will also assist in various Faculty-level services for students including venue bookings, coordinating meetings, maintaining regular communication with students, and support the team in managing administrative and data tasks. In addition, he/she will assist in preparing student-led activities. This role also includes assisting the team in Finance, HR, and other administrative duties as assigned by the Team Head. Occasional support for admissions, outreach activities, and other assigned tasks may also be needed. Experience in managing social media platforms will be an advantage. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in an interview and a written test.
