Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I in the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 526558)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • work on impactful epidemiology and/or health economics projects involving medication safety, effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, decision analytics and AI-driven health technology assessment
  • provide statistical support on multiple research themes in autoimmune diseases, cardiology, psychiatry, oncology and infectious diseases (minor)
  • assist in drafting project report and lead original research article submission
  • work with a diverse and dynamic team
  • perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • a Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Health Economics, Data Science or a related field, with at least 1 year’s post-qualification experience in Pharmacoepidemiology and/or Pharmacoeconomics
  • excellent quantitative and analytic skills
  • strong communication and writing skills
  • detail-oriented
  • able to work independently as well as in a team
  • experience in the management of large data sets and complex analyses using R, Python or other statistical tools would be advantageous
  • those with less experience or lower qualifications may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
