Fractional Senior Clinical Practitioner/Clinical Practitioner in Prosthodontics
Applications are invited for appointment as Fractional Senior Clinical Practitioner/Clinical Practitioner in Prosthodontics in the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 530607), to commence as soon as possible on fixed-term for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability.
For appointment as Senior Clinical Practitioner, applicants must possess a Dental or Medical (Bachelor’s) degree and a Master’s degree or equivalent and hold clinical specialist status in Prosthodontics or equivalent. Their clinical expertise should enjoy regional acclaim as evidenced by extensive clinical or teaching experience, regional clinical publications/presentations, and regional recognition of clinical excellence in the specialty of Prosthodontics.
For appointment as Clinical Practitioner, applicants must possess a Dental degree or equivalent and preferably have completed a Master’s degree in the Discipline of Prosthodontics. Dental practitioners must demonstrate sound clinical experience and have a good track record of continuing professional education or formal advanced education such as a Membership in General Dentistry by examination, an Advanced Education in General Dentistry or an MDS degree in Prosthodontics or equivalent.
The appointee will supervise clinical teaching pertaining to the nominated Discipline (including Comprehensive Dental Care) to undergraduate students and clinical service; and assist with managing students’ families of patients. Senior Clinical Practitioner who is registered as a specialist may also provide clinical training to postgraduate students. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Professor E.H.N. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed term will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. For Senior Clinical Practitioner posts, housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
