Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer (holding the functional title of School Manager) in the School of English (Ref.: 201800175) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a good university degree, with at least 5 years of relevant experience at supervisory level in the higher education sector or a related field; an excellent command of English and Chinese; a high level of communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; and problem solving skills.   They should also be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility, be able to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure to meet tight deadlines, be a good team player with the ability to multi-task and be attentive to details.  Those with hands-on experience in educational administration, student admissions and enrollment, and academic programme management are preferred. The appointee is expected to assist the Head of School in the administration of the School and the delivery of academic programmes; oversee the day-to-day operations of the School Office; enable effective communication between the School Office and the Faculty Office, academic departments as well as other stakeholders; manage human resource and financial matters; and handle student and external affairs.  He/She will also be involved in committee work and event management, and perform any other duties as assigned.  Those with less experience may be considered for the post of Executive Officer.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
