Professional Writer (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II/ Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref: 503367) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Translation, Language and Linguistics, Business or related disciplines, with 3-5 years’ relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in creative writing, advertising or communications. The successful candidate should process superb writing and editing skills in English and Chinese with the ability to simplify complex information into compelling language. He/She should have excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communications skills; and be self-motivated, good at prioritizing and multi-tasking, and flexible to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Familiarity with business or finance industry would be an advantage.
The appointee will be responsible for drafting and developing creative and clear written content for a wide variety of internal and external print and electronic materials including scripts, collateral, advertisements, website, video, and social media, etc., for marketing objectives and boosting engagement; editing and proofreading contents produced to maintain a consistent brand voice across all communication for the School; and coordinating with internal teams to produce messaging targeting key audiences including current and prospective students, alumni, business partners, and key stakeholders. Those with less experience may be considered for the appointment as Executive Officer. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
