Technical Manager (holding the functional title of Laboratory Manager) in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Global Health Institute, School of Public Health (Ref.:525791), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basis salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or above in science or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ research experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin), in addition to excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving and laboratory management. Related work experience and/or knowledge of safety procedures would be an advantage. Prior experience in working with diverse cultural backgrounds is preferred.

The appointee is expected to oversee the operation of the laboratories in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Global Health Institute, including management of laboratory facilities and consumables, development and implementation of standard operation protocols, organization of users training and workshops, assistance of administrative duties, and perform other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
