Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.:525865) (to commence from April 2024 for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Social Policies, Social Work, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, or related disciplines. They should have a strong sense of responsibility and a good command of written and spoken English. Proficiency in Chinese is a plus. The applicants should either have adequate knowledge of and experience in statistical methods and quantitative research or have excellent academic writing skills. Being proficient with both writing and quantitative skills is ideal. Applicants should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. They should also have good interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Previous work experience in research projects would be preferred. 

The appointee will work on research projects related to international comparative social welfare policies, evaluating impacts of COVID-19 social policies, and project management. The appointee will be responsible for managing data collection and analysis, literature searches, literature review, and other assigned research-related duties. The appointee will also work on projects related to social policy in Hong Kong and be responsible for questionnaire design and literature review.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experiences will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
