Phlebotomist (at the rank of Laboratory Assistant) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 525888), to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or a two-year fixed term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Higher Diploma or above and be a registered phlebotomist in Hong Kong. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including fluent Cantonese), good interpersonal and communication skills. They should be organized, responsible and able to work independently as well as in a team. Experience in community-based research studies is highly preferred.
The appointee will assist in a range of ongoing community field studies on infectious disease epidemiology and/or vaccine trials. He/She will perform venipuncture, assist in participant recruitment and follow-up activities, collect door-to-door clinical specimens and perform other study-related duties as assigned.
