IT Technician in the Department of Psychology (Ref.: 525955) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability).

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Higher diploma or above qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related disciplines
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Good knowledge in IT and AV technologies
  • Good interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Be pleasant with positive mindset, good team player and willing to learn new technologies and techniques
  • Be able to demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility and be self-motivated
  • Sound knowledge of multimedia production and video recording system is an advantage
  • Fresh graduates may also be considered

The Role

  • Assisting with various IT tasks to support daily operations
  • Providing frontline support to internal users
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting computer equipment
  • Coordinating with vendors on purchase, tendering and maintenance as per department’s needs
  • Being responsible for updating and maintaining inventory records on hardware & software
  • Managing departmental equipment
  • Performing any other duties as assigned

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
