Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer) (several posts) in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 526177) (to commence as soon as possible for 16 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a good university degree with at least 5 years’ work experience in the higher education sector or a related field.  They should be competent communicators who have a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to motivate related stakeholders to deliver quality work under tight deadlines.  An excellent command of English and Chinese; a high level of interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills; and an appropriate level of IT knowledge are essential.  Experience in project or event management would be an advantage.  Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Project Manager.

The appointee will work closely with the local committee for the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) Annual Meeting Hong Kong 2025, the ISSCR  Annual Meeting Secretariat and their event planner to ensure smooth running of the project, including (i) oversee the project financially; (ii) manage the planning and execution of the ISSCR local committee’s commitment to ISSCR; (iii) manage and maintain good relationships with project stakeholders; (iv) coordinate and manage the local ISSCR committee budget,  produce progress reports and documentation for the final audit report; and (v) performing other duties as assigned.
