Technical Manager in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy (Ref.: 526188) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or above in biological/medical sciences or related disciplines, with at least 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical science laboratories. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese). They should be self-motivated and diligent. Experience in chemical analysis, cell culture and/or animal handling would be advantages.
The appointee will be responsible for managing the laboratory and the Department’s financial matters. He/She will also provide technical support for teaching and learning activities such as practical sessions, oversee the laboratory operations, manage laboratory facilities and consumables, develop and implement standard operation protocols, organise users training and workshops, assist with administrative tasks, and perform other duties as assigned.
