Executive Officer/Clerk I (holding the functional title of Assistant Manager/Senior Executive Assistant) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 526232) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ work experience, preferably in the higher education sector or a public/quasi-public organization.  They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); strong organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to multitask, perform diversified duties, deal with sensitive and confidential issues, and work independently as well as under pressure to meet tight deadlines; and computer literacy.  They should also be a good team player and attentive to details.  Those with less experience or lower qualifications may be considered for appointment as Clerk I.

The appointee will serve as personal assistant to the Director of School and provide organizational and administrative support to the Director’s Office, including but not limited to diary management, scheduling of meetings, making travel arrangements, advising of impending deadlines, drafting formal documents, and overall administration of Director’s Office.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
