Senior Technical Assistant /Laboratory Assistant (2 posts) in the HKUMed Laboratory of Cellular Therapeutics of the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 526371), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should have 5 passes in HKCEE, including English (min. grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, or min. Level 2 in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, preferably with a diploma or above in biological, medical or laboratory sciences. They should have a good command of spoken English and Chinese, good communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in PC and commonly used software applications. Work experience in GMP laboratories would be an advantage. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Laboratory Assistant.

The appointees will join the HKUMed Laboratory of Cellular Therapeutics and be responsible for laboratory supporting duties including specimen organization, record keeping, data entry, general cleaning and sterilization of cleanrooms and equipment, and other duties as assigned.
