Teaching Assistant for the Master of Family Wealth Management Programme (Ref.:526377) (to commence on or before 1 August 2024, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

The Hong Kong Institute for the Humanities and Social Sciences (“IHSS”) is looking for a Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of history-related courses for the taught master's programme in Family Wealth Management (“FWM”). The appointee’s main responsibility is to support instructors for history-related courses, which may include but are not limited to:

  • MFWM7001 History of Wealth and Financial Markets
  • MFWM7002 History of the Family and Family Business Dynasties
  • MFWM7011 Economic and Quantitative History
  • MFWM7012 Business History and Best Practices
  • MFWM7013 Faith, Religion and Leadership

Successful candidate(s) would have either completed or in the process of completing a Master’s degree or above in History or other related disciplines. Background in economic history, Asian religions, and/or statistical research would be a plus. An excellent command of spoken and written English is required. Prior teaching experience and creative approaches to classroom activities would also be most appreciated.

Work type is flexible — we may consider both full-time and part-time workers, to be discussed with the Programme Director. For full-time appointments, the appointee will also be expected to perform programme administration and clerical duties for the FWM Programme Office

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits, if applicable.
