Senior Project Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 526885) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 5 years’ experience.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (particularly fluent Cantonese); good communication, organizational, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills; IT competence including proficiency in MS Office; the ability to work independently and as a team.  They should also be attentive to details and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility. Experience in providing community/kindergarten service in an outreach setting would be an advantage. Those with lower qualifications or less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerk II.

The appointee will provide administrative and clerical support to general office administration; liaise with different stakeholders and coordinate in dental research projects; coordinate and deliver outreach dental service in kindergartens; organize training programmes and events; answer phone enquiries; logistic support; and perform other duties as assigned. Working off-campus, outside normal office hours and on weekends may be required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointments on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
