Clerical Assistant in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 526982) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007) and Chinese (Level 2 from 2007), OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language and Chinese Language with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience.  They should also have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); IT proficiency in MS Word and Excel; good customer service skills; a strong sense of responsibility; the ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels and to work independently, and be self-motivated and hard-working.  The appointee will man the reception counter and answer telephone enquiries; perform clerical duties including collating documents, operating office equipment, preparing letters and emails, and delivering mail; and perform other duties as assigned.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
