Software Engineer (Web) (at the rank of IT Officer) in the Department of Computer Science (Ref: 528654) (to commence as soon as possible thereafter for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering or related discipline, with at least 1 year of relevant experience in software development. They should have good command of both English and Chinese; be able to demonstrate knowledge in PHP, Python, VueJS and React. Those with proficiency in web design, data visualization, and Machine learning will be given priority.

The appointee will be responsible for developing web-based applications for the social sector and aggregate their data into a data warehouse and cloud-based data analytic platform for data analysis. He/She will also provide frontend and backend programming as well as data processing.
