IT Officer/IT Technician (several posts), Information Systems Unit (ISU) in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 528722)

 

The Role

 

The appointee will assist in the following areas:

 

  • Collaborating on IT projects and best practices with team members;
  • Liaising with the central IT department and vendors for application implementation and enhancements;
  • Implementing and supporting various systems and applications;
  • Administering Windows Server and MS SQL Server environments;
  • Providing IT support and troubleshooting to users;
  • Completing other IT-related and ad hoc duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Qualities

 

  • A recognized Bachelor’s degree in the Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline with at least 1 year working experience in related disciplines (Higher Diploma will also be considered for IT Technician position).
  • A team player with innovative thinking, good communication, interpersonal skills and strong sense of responsibility;
  • Ability to learn quickly and multitask effectively;
  • Up-to-date knowledge in IT technologies and techniques, with solid practical experience in IT support; and
  • Experience in Windows Server and MS SQL Server administration, e-form development, webpage editing, SQL, MS Excel, MS Access, support for web-based applications, and office automation using robotic process automation (RPA) tools is an advantage.

 

What We Offer

 

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totally up to 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
