Assistant Finance Manager, Information Systems Unit in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 528723)

 

The Role

 

The appointee will assist in the following areas:

 

  • Preparing budget proposals for system development, upgrade projects and other IT related matters of the department;
  • Collaborating with business analysts, technical consultants and auditors to gather and prepare information, reports and data analysis;
  • Engaging in user requirements gathering, system evaluation, and project planning;
  • Overseeing the upgrade of finance systems and implementation of office automation solutions; and
  • Performing other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Qualities

 

  • A recognized Bachelor’s degree in the Accounting/Finance/Business Administration or related discipline and a professional accounting qualification;
  • Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in auditing, accounting and/or business analyst, preferably in the accounting profession with IT background;
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese, fluency in Putonghua is an advantage;
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, and ability to motivate team members;
  • Hands-on business knowledge and project implementation experience as user representatives for large scale ERP systems/ cloud solutions;
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and knowledge in Oracle E- Business Suite/Oracle Cloud Solutions, process automation tools, eForms, and BI data analytics tools such as Qlik Sense/QlikView are definitely advantageous; and
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments.

 

What We Offer

  

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totally up to 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
