Executive Officer (holding the functional title of Project Manager) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 528763) (to commence as soon as possible, on a 2-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, with 5 years’ solid experience in communications, marketing, public relations and general administration, or a related field.  They should have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good organizational, project management and problem-solving skills; a high level of computer literacy; the ability to multitask under pressure, work well both independently and in a team; as well as a good understanding and experience of event management and public relations practices.  Responsibilities of the appointee will include:   

  • Planning, organizing and managing events, such as conferences, forums, seminars to promote our academic-related activities and services;
  • Developing and implementing effective public relations strategies and campaigns to enhance the Department’s image and reputation;
  • Overseeing all promotional activities, including online/digital promotion and content creation, to enhance academic and public’s awareness of the Department’s activities;
  • Creating press releases, speeches, media kits, and other PR materials to generate positive media coverage via various platforms and digital media channels;
  • Developing short-term and long-term scheduling, budget and resource plans and manage the annual budget for the above activities; and
  • Undertaking other duties assigned by the Department.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
