Applications are invited for appointment as Executive / Senior Executive Assistant (at the rank of Executive Officer / Clerk I) in the Development and Alumni Affairs Office (DAAO) (Ref.: 528802) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).

We are looking for applicants who share the University’s vision and are enthusiastic about supporting the fundraising initiatives of the University. Further information about the Office can be obtained at www.hku.hk/daao.

Applicants should possess the following qualifications: 

  • A good university degree with at least 3 years' relevant experience;
  • Experience in working with a Central/Enterprise Workflow System a plus;
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese, and good IT knowledge;
  • Good analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills, and
  • Meticulous attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

Applicants with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be appointed as Senior Executive Assistant.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support the Advancement Services Team in overall donation processing, compliance and donor acknowledgement;
  • Help develop, maintain and enhance the donor database and related systems; and
  • Prepare managerial reports, handle enquiries, and perform other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
