Research Assistant II in the Department of Clinical Oncology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 529959) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification preferably in biomedical sciences, public health, patent law or related discipline, with at least three years of experience in lab management or finance management preferentially for biomedical research projects. Basic knowledge of molecular functional experiments is needed. Applicants should have good communication skills in English, Cantonese and Mandarin; be highly motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Previous experience in preparing documents for patent applications with legal general knowledge and communications with the technology transfer team for patent applications and government sectors is a plus. Those with a strong interest in cancer research and working in a multidisciplinary team involving bioinformatics, oncology, and cancer biology would have an advantage.

The appointee will participate research projects for multi-omics studies in cancer, work on lab and finance management to ensure smooth lab operation and grant account management for the research projects, and communicate with research collaborators in hospital authority, university research service and finance team, government sectors, such as the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) and Health Bureau.
