Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 530121), to commence as soon as possible for two years on temporary terms, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance. 

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in epidemiology, bioinformatics, ecology, biostatistics, applied mathematics, microbiology, bioengineering or other related disciplines. They should have strong interests in research on infectious disease epidemiology, particularly antimicrobial resistance. They should have excellent communication skills, experiences in knowledge sharing, a strong record of research output, and the ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. Research experience in collecting and analysing genomic data using statistical and/or mathematical approaches would be an advantage.

The appointee will work with a research team to conduct a modelling study on the epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance, analyse large and complex datasets, and perform other duties as assigned. Post-doctoral Fellows who work semi-independently under the supervision and mentorship of senior academic staff will have opportunities to apply for research funding, and present and publish their own research findings to their peers.
