Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Clinical Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Clinical Oncology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 530270), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, a higher professional qualification of Specialty Fellowship of the relevant Hong Kong colleges under the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or equivalent, and at least 5 years’ experience in the relevant specialty after qualification as a specialist. They should also demonstrate evidence of local and national/regional recognition of clinical excellence and a strong commitment to teaching, with the ability to contribute to the enhancement and development of courses for the Faculty and in the broad spectrum of medical and health sciences education. Proven capacity and potential in performing research would be an advantage. Direct communication with patients is required and the languages employed are English, Cantonese and Putonghua. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and clinical services, and will be expected to help advance the strengths of the Department’s teaching and clinical service development.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
