Manager/Assistant Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer) (several posts) in the School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 530350) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good university degree with at least 5 years’ work experience in the higher education sector or of a related field. They should be competent communicators with a strong sense of responsibility, and be able to keep their subordinates motivated to deliver quality work under tight deadlines. An excellent command of English and Chinese; a high level of interpersonal, organisational, time management and problem solving skills; as well as an appropriate level of IT knowledge are essential. Advanced proficiency in Excel applications and/or experience in conducting professional examinations would be an advantage. Those with lesser experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer.
The appointees will provide administrative support for planning, developing, and delivering the assessment of students’ performance in a professional degree programme. They will have to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders on assessment-related tasks before and after examinations, with a view to upholding professional standards, and at the same time offering student-centred services. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or written test.
