Research Project Manager (at the rank of Senior Research Assistant) in the Asia Global Institute (Ref.: 530369) (to commence as soon as possible for one year on temporary terms, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or above (preferred) in economics, political science, public policy or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in project management and coordination, tracking of deliverables, financial reporting, knowledge exchange, report and proposal writing.
They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, outstanding communication and negotiation skills, good organisation and time management skills, a strong sense of responsibility, attention to details, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
The Research Project Manager will report directly to the Director of the Institute primarily on projects about the evolving global and Asian economies, changing geopolitical landscape, new globalization trends and innovation ecosystems, and the APEC study center.S/he will assist in drafting project plans, coordinating projects, preparing publications and reports, preparing and reviewing papers and documents, delivering project events such as research collaboration meetings, workshops and academic and policy conferences, co-ordinating appropriate publicity material, as well as performing general administrative tasks related to research and knowledge dissemination activities.
