Research Assistant II in the [Department of Data and Systems Engineering]

Duties and Responsibilities

• work on an R&D project related to bioinspired microrobot and machine learning.
• design/refine the system and device for optimized locomotion capabilities.
• project management, publish and present research findings.
• perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• a Bachelor degree in electrical, mechanical or computer engineering.
• a proven track record of project and research experience in robotics and automation, mechatronics, embedded control, mechanical design and manufacturing.
• strong programming skills and high implementation efficiency
• good interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• the ability to work on a tight schedule to meet project deadlines.
• the ability to work independently and in a team.
• self-motivated and responsible.

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 1 year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. Other benefits include annual leave, medical benefits and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.
