Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer (holding the functional title of Project Administrative Manager) in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.:530448) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above, with at least 4 years of relevant administrative and management experience. They should be experienced in general office administration and project management and have a combination of supervisory and teamwork experience. They should have an excellent command of English and Chinese, good organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, and IT proficiency. The applicants should also demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, be someone who can take the initiative, be independent, and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision. They should also be tactful in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues and have prior experience in handling HR and financial administration independently, preferably for a 10- to 20-person research team. Those with less experience may be considered for the post of Executive Officer.

The appointees will work on a four-year capacity-building project for NGOs, with the aim to empower non-profit agencies to generate substantial social value within the local community. They will support both the Principal Investigator and the Project Director in overseeing the project’s development, operations and management. They will build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including NGOs, investigators, funder, academic and research staff members, social service providers, administrative, IT technical professionals, etc. They will also create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports, manage the team’s financial and HR matters, deliver various administrative tasks for project dissemination, and perform other project administrative and secretarial duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
