Assistant Director / Senior Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant I / II) in the Development and Alumni Affairs Office (DAAO) (Ref.: 530507) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
We are looking for candidates with experience in the areas of Human Resources, Budgeting and Office Administration. His/her main duties include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee venue management responsibilities and strategies for effective use of the venues;
- Develop and implement HR strategies to support DAAO’s goals, fostering a culture of engagement and high performance;
- Lead initiatives for employee training and development, ensuring a robust pipeline of talent;
- Supervise the budgeting process for HR and operations, ensuring financial efficiency and resource optimization; and
- Handle office administration functions to maintain a well-organized and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a good university degree with 5 to 8 years of work experience at supervisory level. The appointee should demonstrate integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics, and the ability to work effectively in a large, complex, dynamic and sophisticated organisation. Demonstration of a good understanding of people dynamics, with outstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills, management experience and the capacity to lead a team are required. An excellent command of English and/or Chinese is expected.
Compensation and Benefits:
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of the basic salary for the Assistant Director post, and up to 10% of the basic salary for the Senior Manager post. Applicants with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be appointed as Senior Manager.
