Part-time Research Assistant I (several posts) in the Department of Sociology (Ref.:530511) (to commence in February 2025 for 6 months)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably with a major in psychology, early childhood education, or other related social science and education fields. They need to be highly proficient in spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese is a must) and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Applicants should have a strong sense of responsibility, be detailed-minded, dedicated, patient, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. Experience in working with preschool children and/or exposure to child or psychological assessments would be an advantage.
The appointees will be responsible for conducting child assessments under the supervision of the research team and educational psychologists for a large-scale project on early childhood development in Hong Kong. The posts would provide an excellent opportunity for those interested in educational psychology and assessments, and who would like to gain experience working with children in school-based settings and participate in large-scale child development research project. Applicants considering further academic/professional pursuits in educational psychology or related fields are particularly welcome. The applicants should be able to commit at least two weekdays per week from February 2025 to the end of June 2025. The estimated working hours will be approximately 12 - 25 hours per week. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
Applicants will be required to participate and pass a mandatory 3-day training program in January before employment.
