Executive Officer / Clerk II (holding the functional title of Programme Manager / Executive Assistant) (two posts) in the Academic Liaison Office of the Registry (Ref: 530546) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal)

For post 1: Applicants should have a good Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years’ work experience, preferably in the education sector.  An excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese is required, and fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage.  They should also be a good team player with effective organisational and communication skills.

The appointee is expected to engage in administering exchange programmes organised by the International Affairs Office, and design new programmes for the University.  He/She is also required to coordinate the logistics of international conferences, liaise with faculties and departments of the University and overseas institutions, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Office Head.  Experience in exchange programmes and international events in tertiary education institutions would be an advantage.

For post 2: Applicants should have 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, preferably with one year's relevant work experience.  They should also have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; IT proficiency (MS Word and Excel); the ability to work independently, good organisational and communication skills, and be self-motivated.

The appointee will be responsible for managing the application system of various HKU's student mobility programmes, handling enquiries from different stakeholders, providing general administrative support to Office and University events, and performing any other duties as assigned by the Office Head.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test/computer test and an interview.  A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
