Assistant Director (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref: 530561) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a good bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with a master’s degree in business-related disciplines, plus at least 8 years’ of working experience of which at least 5 years in programme administration, management, and marketing. They should have supervisory and budget administration experience as well as marketing skills. Prior work experience in higher education sector would be an advantage. They should also have a solid command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), sound interpersonal and communication skills, strategic thinking, innovative and effective organization skills in initiating and executing plans to deliver expected quality outputs under tight deadlines; and be strong team builders and outcomes-driven leaders with good connection with the professional community and industry. Good knowledge to the worldwide business environment and solid experience in interacting with entrepreneurs, corporate executives and other business leaders are essential. They should also master a high-level of design and computer proficiency in marketing and promotion; and be familiar with the respective marketing practices and promotion channels in Hong Kong as well as worldwide. Priority will be given to those with prior experience interacting with institutions and entrepreneurs.
The appointee will oversee the stream operations of the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme. He/She will also be responsible for the marketing and admission, financial planning and control, and course and programme development. He/She may be required to work outside normal office hours and during weekends, as well as travel outside Hong Kong occasionally.
