Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.:531522), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in medical science, public health, or a related discipline, with a strong track record of translational and epidemiological studies. Relevant post-doctoral experiences in conducting and managing community researches and clinical studies, along with demonstrated expertise in analyzing large and complex datasets and leadership skills, are essential. Candidates should be self-motivated, highly committed, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
The appointee will engage in cohort studies, both in patients-oriented or community-based. Responsibilities include managing research projects, preparing scientific publications, grant proposals, and reports; performing data analysis; providing general administrative and operational support; liaising and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders; and performing other duties as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
