Part-time IT Officer/ IT Technician (UI/UX Designer) at Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 531534) (To commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)
Key Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, user-centered interfaces for websites and web applications, ensuring alignment with project goals and user needs;
- Collaborate closely with developers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs;
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and iterate designs based on feedback and analytics;
- Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries for consistency across platforms;
- Ensure adherence to accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and optimize designs for responsiveness across devices; and
- Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices to drive innovation in design solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field;
- At least 2 years of UI/UX design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in web/digital product design;
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch) and prototyping software;
- Strong understanding of frontend technologies (e.g., HTML/CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers;
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile workflows;
- Knowledge of SEO principles, web accessibility guidelines, and responsive design practices;
- Excellent visual design skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset; and
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fresh graduates with exceptional portfolios will be considered.
- Candidates with less experience and/or lower qualifications may be considered for appointment at the rank of IT Technician.
