Fitness Centre Coordinator (at the rank of Facilities Assistant) in the Centre for Sports and Exercise (CSE) (Ref.: 531550) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should have a Higher Diploma/Associate Degree, preferably in Sports Science, Exercise Science or equivalent.  They should also have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and the ability to deal and interact with members and users in a positive and professional manner, and work actively and independently as well as in a group setting.  Holder of professional certifications in fitness training would be advantageous.

Reporting to the Exercise Physiologist and/or Administration Manager (Health & Fitness), the appointee will oversee the usage of the fitness centres; provide general training guidance to users; conduct introductory fitness programmes to new users and fitness training sessions to students, staff and other clients; assist in fitness and wellness projects; and undertake other duties as assigned. 

The post will be primarily based at the Centennial Campus or HKU B-Active at Novum Place in Shek Tong Tsui, and support to other fitness centres under the CSE will be required.  The appointee will be required to work on shift duties between 07:00 and 22:30.  On-the-job training will be provided.
