Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Clinical Oncology, Centre of Cancer Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 531573) (to commence as soon as possible on a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree with at least 1 year’s post-qualification experience, preferably in Biological Science. They should have a strong sense of ethical responsibility, clinical trial experience, good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, and a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English. Experience and/or interest in clinical research, working with patients, project coordination, and using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) would be highly desirable.

The appointee will be responsible for coordinating the Molecular Tumor Board (MTB) and maintaining the MTB patient registry and database while safeguarding the confidentiality of the patients. In addition, they will prepare materials for the Human Research Ethics Committee and the Institutional Review Board of the University of Hong Kong/Hospital Authority Hong Kong West Cluster (HKU/HA HKW IRB); they will also be involved in clinical trial patient recruitment.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
