Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree, preferably with about 1 to 2 years’ post-qualification work experience. Possession of work experience in tertiary institutions or the education sector will be an advantage. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; good communication, organisational, problem-solving and teamwork skills; computer literacy and proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); as well as a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation to acquire new skills and seek continuous improvements in a dynamic environment. Applicants should also have the competencies to prioritise multiple tasks efficiently and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of thoroughness and accuracy.
The appointee will be deployed to provide administrative and clerical support for the research centres/institutes in the following areas:
• Assist in staff appointments and related HR matters;
• Handle procurements, payments and reimbursement claims;
• Manage office facilities;
• Provide administrative support to collaborative research projects/programmes and other Centre/Institute initiatives; and
• Perform data collection/entry and compile statistics/reports.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
