Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant/ Executive Assistant) in Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Ref.: 531661)(to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, with at least 3 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese) and good computer literacy. They should also be good team players with good organisational, communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills;  have the ability to perform multiple tasks and work independently. Immediately available is preferred.

The appointee will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing day-to-day administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing minutes, compiling papers and reports, handling correspondence, and maintaining records;
  • Assisting with HR-related activities, including recruitment, onboarding new staff, and coordinating training and development plans;
  • Handling staff requests, such as leave applications, conference grant approvals, etc.;
  • Managing office space and ensuring effective and efficient logistical support for the department;
  • Providing additional assistance to the Department Head with departmental projects and initiatives; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
