Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 531744) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Research Assistant to join our team on a challenging project aimed at improving the long-term care and quality of life for cancer survivors in Hong Kong.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the design and execution of research studies, including systematic reviews, surveys, focus groups, and interviews.
Perform data collection, including handling participant recruitment, survey administration, and interview scheduling.
Support the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data using appropriate software.
Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications for peer-reviewed journals.
Coordinate communication between the research team, participants, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and standards in research practices.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree or above in a health-related field (e.g., Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or similar).
Strong research skills, including literature review, data collection and analysis.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Familiarity with data analysis tools and software (e.g., SPSS, NVivo) is preferred.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Cantonese.
A commitment to working in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
Prior research experience in a healthcare or academic setting is an advantage.
Knowledge or interest in cancer care and primary healthcare is a plus.
