Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 531744) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Research Assistant to join our team on a challenging project aimed at improving the long-term care and quality of life for cancer survivors in Hong Kong.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and execution of research studies, including systematic reviews, surveys, focus groups, and interviews.

• Perform data collection, including handling participant recruitment, survey administration, and interview scheduling.

• Support the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data using appropriate software.

• Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and publications for peer-reviewed journals.

• Coordinate communication between the research team, participants, and stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and standards in research practices.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or above in a health-related field (e.g., Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or similar).

• Strong research skills, including literature review, data collection and analysis.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Familiarity with data analysis tools and software (e.g., SPSS, NVivo) is preferred.

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Cantonese.

• A commitment to working in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.

• Prior research experience in a healthcare or academic setting is an advantage.

• Knowledge or interest in cancer care and primary healthcare is a plus.
