Project Manager (at the rank of Senior Research Assistant) in the Advanced Technologies Institute at Department of Data and Systems Engineering (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in project management and coordination, laboratory facility management, tracking of deliverables, report writing and research. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken Cantonese, Putonghua and English, outstanding communication and negotiation skills, good organisational and time management skills, a strong sense of responsibility, attention to details, and the ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. Preference will be given to those with experience and a keen interest in robotics and project coordination.
The appointee will work on project coordination in the area of robot development and applications. He/She will assist in drafting project plan, coordinating projects, facility and equipment management, and projects reporting. Occasionally field trips to industries are needed. Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement projects with industry partners
- Manage laboratory operations and facilities, and support research projects conducted by PhD students and post-doctoral researchers
- Prepare project reports and perform other duties as assigned
- Monitor and evaluate project progress
Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience
- A Bachelor degree or above in engineering, robotics, or a related discipline. (Appointee with PhD degree can be considered to the post Research Officer)
- Strong background in project coordination and laboratory management
- Proficiency in Cantonese, Putonghua and English is necessary
- Excellent communication skills and experience in managing research projects and working with research staffs and students
- Ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team
