Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 533827), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering (ME) or a closely related field, along with a minimum of six years’ relevant experience, with demonstrated accomplishments in teaching and learning, and contributions to knowledge exchange, curriculum development, pedagogy, and administrative services. The Department places emphasis on experiential learning and hands-on studies, and proven capability to implement these approaches will be a definite advantage. Outstanding computer science/engineering skills towards AI /ML in ME and ability in developing IT systems for the smooth conduct of teaching and learning activities will be highly preferred.
The appointee is expected to be responsible for quality teaching in relevant subjects in mechanical engineering, supervising student projects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, undertaking course design and curriculum development, actively participating in knowledge exchange, and engaging in extracurricular activities. He/She will also be required to contribute to the University administrative services.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
