Research Assistant I/II in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 533867)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • assist with research and evaluation of the online text-based emotional support service
  • conduct literature reviews, data collection, data analysis and report writing
  • liaise with internal and external parties to facilitate research activities
  • conduct interviews and focus groups
  • perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences or related disciplines
  • outstanding communication, analytic and writing skills
  • a strong sense of responsibility
  • attentive to details
  • excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese)
  • An aptitude for quantitative data analysis (SPSS, R, or similar statistical packages) and qualitative research methods is preferred
  • Experience in mental health projects in Hong Kong would be an advantage

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
