Project Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 534391)

We are seeking an experienced Project Officer (at the rank of Executive Officer) to join the Faculty of Dentistry in organising our 45th Anniversary celebrations.

The Role

The appointee will play a key role in planning, coordinating and implementing a series of publicity and celebratory activities for the Faculty’s 45th Anniversary, including but not limited to:

  • Planning, organising and executing celebratory events and promotional activities;
  • Developing and leading multi-channel publicity campaigns across digital, social and print media;
  • Preparing marketing and promotional materials such as publications, social media posts, website news, brochures and newsletters;
  • Managing invitations, correspondences, travel arrangements for guests, donors, alumni and faculty members;
  • Hosting and coordinating visits for guests, media representatives and external stakeholders;
  • Providing secretarial support to the organising committee;
  • Overseeing logistics and operational arrangement including venue setup, registration, catering, technical support, budget management, procurement and vendor coordination; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned. 

Occasional work outside regular office hours may be required.

Qualifications and Qualities

  • A Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification working experience, preferably in event management;
  • Strong project management, organisational and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders;
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on a fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years and commence as soon as possible.  A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.  Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
